Teddy Swims, the stage name of Atlanta singer-songwriter Jaten Dimsdale, has crafted a distinct sound by blending elements of pop, rock, soul, and country. This vocal powerhouse honed his stage presence through musical theater and performing with various Atlanta-based rock bands and cover groups. In 2019, Teddy Swims gained widespread attention by sharing covers of songs by artists like Michael Jackson and Shania Twain on YouTube, quickly amassing millions of views per video. His rising popularity led to a record deal with Warner Records by the end of that year.
He released his debut EP, Unlearning, in 2021, followed by a festive collection of Christmas songs later that year. In 2022, he dropped two more EPs, Tough Love—his first to break into the Billboard 200—and Sleep Is Exhausting. His debut album, I’ve Tried Everything but Therapy (Part 1), released in 2023, featured his first Hot 100 hit, “Lose Control.” Known for his collaborative spirit, Teddy Swims has worked with notable artists such as Meghan Trainor, X Ambassadors, Illenium, and Mitchell Tenpenny.
